I stayed plastic free over my vacation this month! I used my refillable bottles to bring my shampoo and conditioner with me, brought my water bottle to refill on the go, and used my own fabric bags to bring home any souvenirs I bought and keep them safely wrapped in my luggage.

I recently bought 100% cotton sheets, in a cotton bag! I started a mug collection at my work/church so we no longer use disposable cups. I no longer use bleach or lint rollers.

Coffee lovers, this one is for you! ☕

For just a few dollars, Starbucks offers reusable cups! They can be used in-store or at the drive-thru and when you use them, you receive 10 cents off your drink!

If you enjoy a morning cold brew or chai tea, this is a great way to cut back on your single-use plastic consumption.

Went to coffee with someone and opted for glass instead of a paper cup. Refilled my water bottle a lot, like always! Made another meal at home using things I already had. Said “no thank you” to an offer for gum, and offered them mints 😂

As we enter the second week of July, I'd like to extend my congratulations to everyone for a strong start!

I used vegetables from my garden and pantry staples to make a meal today! I also planted more tomato plants and harvested garlic and zucchini.
I only used glass storage containers. I refilled my stainless steel water bottle instead of getting plastic ones.

Switched to Little Seed Farm natural deodorant; Bite toothpaste bits; menstrual cup, disk, and Period. Underwear!

Got a bidet so I no longer need wipes!

Congratulations on joining the Tawny Frogmouth Team! As July approaches quickly, I want you to take some time to think about your current single-use plastic consumption. What can you do differently in July to make a change?

For example, my household enjoys going to Sonic and grabbing a refreshing drink. However, Sonic serves drinks in Styrofoam cups with plastic straws and doesn't offer the option to reuse a cup. So, instead of going to Sonic as often, we are opting to take a refillable cup to a nearby gas station for a drink instead!
