Time to say goodbye to July:

Landfills and recycling centers tell us a lot about our communities and purchasing habits. What did you glean from your tour?

I learned about what is accepted and what is not. For example: having many used scooter batteries, I learned that no centers accept them. But there are organizations that do accept them so they won't end up in a pile in our apartment or in a land fill that would do damage to our environment even more.

In what neighborhoods or areas of your region are landfills or other waste sites located? Which communities are most affected by these locations?

We have our local landfills but of what I've learned, they are strict on what they allow to be dropped off.

It educates, inspires and motivates family and friends to do what they can foe the planet - and they share the posts so their family and friends see it. #RippleEffect

Racism is inexorably linked to climate change because it dictates who benefits from activities that produce planet warming gases and who suffers most from the consequences.

With this being the last day of this challenge, I will continue living this life plastic free every day.

Had you ever considered the environmental impact of balloons before? How can you share this information with your friends and family to encourage them to avoid balloons, too?

We cringe every time we see a balloon release on the news.

Balloons never needed to be used for commemorating a person's passing. They are harmful to animals.

Everything that I purchase for my pet has to be either recyclable or reusable. The food and toy companies will get my business if they don't waste with unnecessary packaging.

By making one's own food and packaging them in reusable containers.

Single use plastics have become normalized in our society to the point that most people don't see them as a problem. What would you say to a friend, colleague, or family member who may not understand why these disposables are an issue?

I would explain the cycle of time that it takes for plastic to decompose and suggest alternative choices.
