There is no clear advantage of bioplastics over regular plastics. It may actually be harder to find an 'Industrial Composting Facility' that takes them. I found 2 facilities, in Florida, but haven't had time to see, if they take compostable plastic.

I think it is important to share something positive vs. telling people they should do something differently or shaming them, so I try to talk about/advocate for products with less packaging and ways I have found to reduce waste.

It is fighting to make sure everyone has a safe place to live and work. It makes me sad to look at my own community and I see where the land-fill and water management facilities are located.

We gave our car seat we just stopped using to someone in need. Not only are we keeping it out of the landfill but now someone else gets the chance to enjoy the quality car seat. It is a win win for everyone.

When I was in high school and college, I had fun making clothes with my mom out of sheets my brothers and I had as kids that had characters from different shows and movies on them. We would cut the characters out and use them as patches on sweatshirts and other clothing.
I also make jewelry and bought earrings that have a loop below the post so that I can add or remove different hanging beads.

Somewhat. I see options for cold beverages with lids not requiring straws everywhere. However, I notice that a lot of people still request straws along with the lids, because they do not like the design, etc.
