    I spent about 15 minutes to measure my ecological footprint and the results are really eye opening. I suggest everyone take the time to do this test (provided in the study section of this site) and think of ways you can reduce your own personal carbon footprint.

    The use of re-filling travel sized containers (shampoo, body wash, etc) is easy to do and prevents having to buy expensive travel size (one use) containers. My wife and I have been doing this since we were married.

    I have noticed more an more restaurants provide only reusable straws with those typically only being provided upon request.

    Don't purchase bottled water. Advocate for investment in public water infrastructure.

    The challenge for recycling can be taking the extra step to seek out the recycling bin rather than deferring to the closest waste basket.
