  I use old pantyhose or socks on my waste tub tube to catch the fibers that come out of my washing machine. I also have a screen over the drain to catch anything that slips by.

How does working with others to clean up your community make you feel?

It's encouraging to see others with the same mindset as myself. It can be hard at times when you feel like you' efforts aren't enough, but working together with like-minded friends, family, & coworkers reminds me that we can make a difference!
Also...putting a plug out there for the PFJ Akron Zoo Clean-Up Days! Tuesday the 11th & Thursday the 27th 12-1:30pm. All are welcome for any amount of time! See myself or Christina Mlinaric for more info!

Did anyone else attend any 4th of July parades & cringe at the amount of candy, of course wrapped in plastic, being handed out? There were also so many flyers, coupons, & paper handouts being given away. I want my kiddo to be able to experience the parade & celebrate, but I felt like I was being forced into being 'part of the problem' with all these items just being thrown at me. :-(

Found several trucks & cars for my vehicle obsessed son at garage sales this weekend! Once he is done with them, we intend to pass them onto a family member who is expecting their first son next year. Theses plastic toy trucks & cars will hopefully see many more years of use & fun!
