Kristin Waters 7/16/2023 5:10 AMThis is quite a difficult challenge as it take so much thought throughout the day where those decisions I’m trying to change were made so much in auto pilot, it’s hard to get out of that mode and switch gears. I’ll have to do this again next year now that I have so many ideas on how to help with this-
Kristin Waters 7/18/2023 12:15 PMHi Krystina!
yes absolutely some great ideas that I would continue and look into after the program has finished. I just invested in some wool dryballs (Have been thinking about it for a while but finally took the plunge) So far so good. We do recycle and I'm getting much better at using eco bags for our grocery shopping. what I'm going to continue to work on is finding a solution for refillable toiletries. My city has one shop that has this purpose and I will need to look into it some more. Since that is something new to me I like to explore the different angles of it. ours seems more like a milk man solution but need to find out if I can just go in and shop there/try their products. some products can't be used in my household due to allergies. some things that are difficult atm are finding food options as well as gifts that are not packaged in tons of plastic and not purchasing plastic water bottles when traveling. I do love to try out the different food trucks in the area and most of those to-go containers are either styrofoam or plastic. ( Probably due to cost? )
There is a lot to digest here but hopefully this works and more companies just get rid of plastic or offer some way to recycle their packaging in a closed loop sort of fashion. -
Krystina Jarvis 7/16/2023 10:17 AMIt's an ongoing process for sure! Are there any actions you've taken on during the challenge so far that you're planning to continue after it ends?
