Go Strawless

I will keep 2 plastic straw(s) out of the landfill per day by refusing straws or using my own reusable straw.

Say No to "Flushable Wipes"

Yesterday I attended a brunch with 20 other members of a club I belong to. We ate of of compostable plates using wooden cutlery.
I understand that the very large paper mill in Crofton is removing its largest newsprint machine because newspapers are now digital.
In the huge building they will now be making compostable food containers from the Jraft pulp and wooden cutlery from thin wooden veneer.
The capacity to replace styrofoam food containers and hard plastic cutkery in all of Canada is in sight.

I have always been a person who recycles and actively keeps plastic out of the environment. This challenge is helping to refine the efforts.

I shopped at Safeway and it was soo rasy to not pit snything in any kind of plastic bag. At home everything in my frige is either in a reuseable container or wrapped in reused aluminum foul which keeps it fresh longer. I food that ends up in the compost or recycle is lower.
