I love that we're emphasizing plastic-free July and I hope we all can continue reducing our plastic use each month from now on!

My personal crusade is saving the trees, one paper towel at a time. I carry a washcloth in my purse and use it instead of paper towels in public restrooms. If you're handy with a sewing machine, you can cut up old/unwanted towels in 8.5" squares and finish the edges to make homemade washcloths. Saving all those paper towels from going into the landfill is easy and it feels so good!

My one-week waste audit is complete. I'm now more aware of the paper I send to paper recycling . . . mostly unwanted mail which I could stop at the source with a little effort.
