Jennifer Klotz 7/17/2023 5:45 PMHop in the car and follow 'em Lynn!
DE has a much better recycling program than VA, I can say that. They wouldn't take #5 curbside and SO many food items come in that type of plastic! I really had to modify and think through my purchases while living there.

The numbers #1-7 on plastics tell us a lot - and can help us be better recyclers. I will learn what these numbers mean and which types of plastics are accepted for recycling in my area.

Lynn Klein 7/19/2023 8:30 AMSo far so good. My biggest problem is that I forget to check in daily and then i have to back fill but at least I'm trying. My "to do" for this week is to research single use plastic production. -
Lynn Klein 7/19/2023 8:28 AMSo far so good! My only issue is that I forget to check in everyday and then have to back fill but at least I'm trying! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunityWhat have you learned about what is accepted by local haulers for recycling, what you can drop off or ship to certain places, and what is not recyclable in your area? What is the most difficult part of recycling for you?
Lynn Klein 7/17/2023 9:29 AMI've learned that recycling is not as easy as I once thought it was. So many people are recycling items incorrectly that it's like they are not even recycling. For me the most difficult part is worrying that what I am recycling is not really getting recycled. -
Lynn Klein 7/09/2023 12:30 PMSo far so good but i forgot to update on days 2 - 8. :(-
Jennifer Klotz 7/10/2023 11:14 AMYou're still in contention with your points despite that Lynn, so way to go! As mentioned below, you can retroactively check in for some of those days. I'll email you how.
