Have you noticed a shift in your community as more messaging about reusable straws becomes mainstream? Cite some examples.

Noticed a couple of changes: some businesses are asking if you would like a straw, while a few have changed to compostable materials like heavy paper for straws. There does seem to be more awareness, although we have a long way to go!

Joined because there is a need to team together to make awareness of plastics and their effects on planet earth: both short term and long term. Single use straws and bags are very common in our area. We do have the opportunity to recycle both, but it's not common. Not much effort in our area to ban single use bags and straws.
