REFLECTION QUESTIONStudyWhat did you learn about your ecological footprint by using the calculator? What did or didn't surprise you? What are some ways you will take action to reduce your footprint?
Kristen Jezycki 7/31/2023 5:20 AMI know that there are many ways that I can reduce my footprint and this all starts with being more sustainable at home! This includes taking shorter showers and running larger loads of laundry to eliminate the need for multiple loads. One thing I have started to implement already through is running the dishwasher more often rather than hand washing dishes because it's more efficient. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBathroomWhat have you noticed about the economic and social impact of switching to steel razors? Was there ever really a need for disposable razors, or do you think it was just a way to sell more things?
Kristen Jezycki 7/31/2023 5:17 AMI am trying to use up the last of the razors that I currently have before I make the permanent switch. What I have always noticed though is that shaving products typically geared towards women (pink razors or overly fragrant shaving cream for example) are always priced higher than the same products geared toward men, and typically, the men's products work even better!-

REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunityLandfills and recycling centers tell us a lot about our communities and purchasing habits. What did you glean from your tour?
Kristen Jezycki 7/28/2023 6:32 AMIt is important for everyone to recycle whenever possible to keep these materials out of landfills! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONStudyAs you have reduced your spending, what have you noticed about your 'health and safety' purchasing habits? How might this change your longer term purchasing decisions?
Kristen Jezycki 7/07/2023 6:13 AMThis is a much better way to keep track of spending and control spending habits as little purchases here and there add up in a big way in no time! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunityHow does the act of picking up litter connect you more to your community?
Kristen Jezycki 7/05/2023 7:45 AMPicking up litter in my community helps to show a sense of pride for where I live and will hopefully encourage others to do the same! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONStudyWhat did you learn about the waste you create? Where can you reduce the most?
Kristen Jezycki 7/03/2023 5:29 AMWe would need 4.9 Earths if everyone lived like me...and I thought I was better than most with my recycling and reusing habits. I think I can make the most impact on my reduction by eating less meat daily-

REFLECTION QUESTIONKitchenHow difficult was this challenge for you? What made it easy or difficult?
Kristen Jezycki 7/03/2023 5:19 AMI have been using reusable grocery bags for years now so this has been super easy for me! Recently, I bought reusable produce bags so I am still getting in the habit of bringing those on shopping trips with me.
