Mandy Hughes 7/29/2023 4:04 PMI’m so happy I actively participated in this challenge! Not too long along ago I was discussing with my children how as an 80’s kid we were told to “SAVE THE TREES!” and in response to that plastic bags were made to replace paper bags. Let us not forget the RECYCLE ♻️ slogan that was also introduced soon after and now we have learned our recycled trash rarely ever gets recycled at the plant! My children quickly realized how silly these idea were. How sad we have made such a detrimental mistake with plastics. We are polluting our oceans, killing our sea life, and we are slowly contaminating our bloodstream with plastics every single day! With this challenge I found hope and possibility within reach. WE all can reverse the negative impacts plastics have caused and continue to cause if we all refuse plastics at every turn.
