My ecological footprint is, in my opinion, the absolute worst and most of it is definitely house related. Time to upgrade this old house to be more friendly to the planet!

With all the recent rain, drains have been a treasure trove of plastic and other trash. I slowed down on the ecochallenge a little bit but here is to getting up and going again!

Day three of cleaning up around the neighborhood. I never realized how much waste comes from fireworks and how little people clean up after them.

Using the links provided, investigate the bottling practices of water corporations. There have been many cases where the water rights of the local people have been violated or even completely disregarded when a corporation decides to bottle water from a particular water source. How can you advocate for those who have been harmed by this bottling process?

We can educate others on how most bottled water is just tap water and having a water bottle is just more cost effective. By not buying bottled water we are also advocating for less plastics production, potentially improving the water quality of the area that the bottling take place in.

Posting a bunch to earn the points. While I like picking up litter around my neighborhood, I am excited to help clean up Druid Hill park. On my drive into the zoo I always see so much litter in park, especially with the recent celebrations.

Day two of picking up litter around the neighborhood and the local McDonalds is defiantly the major contributor to the plastics problem, I wonder if the company has considered recycling in their establishments.

Have you noticed a difference in how your community, friends, and family members use plastics since you've shared your own actions?

I don't know that it has made a difference in their plastic use, but I do know that they think about what impact it has on the planet just a little more.
