What have you noticed about the economic and social impact of switching to steel razors? Was there ever really a need for disposable razors, or do you think it was just a way to sell more things?

I've been using a safety razor for a couple of years now and not only is it more eco-friendly but it is also a lot cheaper than buying a new razor or new razor head every couple of weeks or so! I definitely think its worth it to switch!
