Community
Share My Actions
I will make my environmental actions visible by sharing about them on my social media networks and the Plastic Free Ecochallenge participant feed.
Kitchen
Go Strawless
I will keep 2 plastic straw(s) out of the landfill per day by refusing straws or using my own reusable straw.

I will use a reusable bottle and stop purchasing bottled water, saving 5 disposable plastic bottle(s) a day.
Bathroom
Brush with Bamboo
I will replace my plastic toothbrush with a bamboo toothbrush.
Bathroom
Say No to "Flushable Wipes"
Wipes don't break down in sewer systems, but combine with fat to create massive clogs. I will find alternatives to using disposable wipes.

Tyler Duby 7/20/2023 12:10 PMOn my Dolphin Cruise today, I highlighted how we can help protect dolphins and the local Tampa Bay Area by reducing our use of single use plastics and trying to limit the amount of trash that enters the local waterways. -
Tyler Duby 7/18/2023 7:50 AMAt work yesterday Me and another co-worker did an activity with guests that involved them guessing how long it takes for certain trash items to break down once they were in the environment. There eyes really lit up when they learned how long a disposable diaper hangs around! Then we discussed recycling, and how we can reuse objects.-
Jackie Kroeger 7/18/2023 1:33 PMThis game has such a great message behind it! People are always amazed by how long these incredibly common/frequently used items stick around. With the diaper specifically, I love the shocked reaction I get when I tell them that every single diaper that has ever been produced is still out there in the environment! -

TSS Scholl 7/18/2023 11:03 AMI think games are so good for adult or child, I have been reading some articles also that explain how long things last before dissolved or recycled. Keep up the good work.

Tyler Duby 7/17/2023 11:55 AMI am doing better, I think! I have been trying to remind myself to bring reusable bags when shopping and if I do get plastic ones, I try to properly recycle them.-
TSS Scholl 7/17/2023 2:52 PMI agree, bringing your own bags is good for the environment, why two? I know it's best to bring your own and save. The second is it's reusable.
