REFLECTION QUESTIONFamily + PetsWhat concerns you the most about how we are affecting the planet? Consider both local and global actions.
Jessica De Caria 7/30/2023 4:29 PMI think how much we use cars! I understand that it's a necessity these days, but there are other ways (walking, riding a bike, etc.) for people that live closer, in order to save that bit of Co2 going into the air :) -
REFLECTION QUESTIONKitchenHow difficult was this challenge for you? What made it easy or difficult?
Jessica De Caria 7/30/2023 4:27 PMIt's so much easier using bags I've already bought, i.e. tote bags etc., to store groceries when shopping. That way, I'm helping the environment and don't have a massive storage of plastic bags. This was semi-difficult, because sometimes I'd forget to bring a bag with me, but I tried my best! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONKitchenDo an inventory of your kitchen to see how many single-use plastics you've used in the past. What are some resuable alternatives to these commonly used products? What would your impact be if you switched all the single-use products from your inventory to reusable?
Jessica De Caria 7/30/2023 4:26 PMIt's very rare I use single-use plastics in the kitchen! I've always found that putting leftovers in glass bowls/dishes tastes better when heated up anyway, and I'll use my glass takeaway containers I bought from Amazon to bring food for lunch :) -
REFLECTION QUESTIONStudyAs you have reduced your spending, what have you noticed about your 'health and safety' purchasing habits? How might this change your longer term purchasing decisions?
Jessica De Caria 7/25/2023 5:52 PMIt's been incredibly easy to maintain this, as I practice it anyway! I'm buying fresher products and I feel better about my general health, specifically gut health, too. I have money to buy things that contribute to my wider wellbeing :)
