How difficult was this challenge for you? What made it easy or difficult?

Using plastic bags is very easy... very convenient and squishable in a already full refrigerator, so I had to take time to figure out where the reusable container could go without an avalanche of things falling out... so a little bit more involved, but then I don't have to worry about wasting a bag...

Was this action easy or difficult to do? How did it change your travel experience?

Very easy to do. Just plan ahead. We knew where we were going and how long and it was easy to figure out what to take with us. Just taking that extra five minutes to figure it out helped.

Just plugging along. Making tiny improvements might not seem like much, but it is at least going in the right direction and feels good.

I always try to go plastic free and reuse containers that I get from the store. I also try to find items that come in glass jars, because they are great to reuse. One great way to reuse a glass jar is to save seeds from our garden. We dry them out and save them in a glass jar (plastic will ruin the seeds). We have seeds that are 20+ years old that we grew this year!

How are caring for your pet and caring for the environment connected for you?

They are totally connected. I take care of my backyard not only for her to play, but to have areas in which other animals (birds, bunnies and butterflies) can live. There are bushes for birds to live in and milkweed for monarchs to lay eggs on. It is important to maintain these areas so my pet can play and not harm the other animals.

In what ways is supplying your pet with all natural pet toys better for your pet, better for you, and better for the environment?

My dog is a CHEWER! Everything has a hole in it... if I get her natural items, they last longer and I am not throwing plastic items away.
