Barbara, I've noticed this too. I think it's a good sign, and it makes me hopeful that more individuals and businesses are trying to be more sustainable in their practices.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

Using the links provided, investigate the bottling practices of water corporations. There have been many cases where the water rights of the local people have been violated or even completely disregarded when a corporation decides to bottle water from a particular water source. How can you advocate for those who have been harmed by this bottling process?

I have several reusable containers I consistently use rather than purchasing bottled water. Also, since 2019 I’ve used my soda stream so I’m using tap water rather than purchasing bottled products.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Bedroom
How can you express your personality, creativity, and values in ways that don't require fast fashion or buying more clothes and accessories?

Organize my clothes so I wear different items more frequently.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

Since liquids are limited when flying bar soap is more convenient. I also use travel containers to fill with other products I use.

For sparkling snowflakes without glitter, cut out paper snowflakes and submerge in a salty water mixture, sprinkle coarse salt on top and air dry.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Bedroom
Often, single-use and disposable products don't just create more trash - they also contain toxins that are bad for humans. What are some other single-use items that are harmful to humans?

Microplastics are in the air we breathe, as well as, food and water we consume.

I bought Beeswax wraps, but don’t really like them. I find them hard to clean and end up with dog hair stuck to them.

I seem to fall within the average.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Kitchen
Since the restrictions that COVID-19 has required of our society, trying to use your own cup might present new barriers, as well as new opportunities for creative problem solving. How were you able to achieve success on this action? How can you make it a long-term habit?

I’ve noticed since I first participated in the challenge in 2019, some manufacturers have made changes to make more recyclable packaging.
