Tesh Burke 7/29/2023 3:10 AMThis is my third year participating in ecochallenge and each year, I learn another way to shift my mindset on being more aware of my Planet's footprint :) -
Tesh Burke 7/29/2023 3:08 AMWow, it's amazing how much waste you save by reusing bamboo utensils. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBedroomWas this an easy or difficult swap for you to make? Did you have any concerns before making the swap?
Tesh Burke 7/16/2023 2:20 PMWe thought the detergent we had was good for the environment but we found that it still had a harmful chemical in it. It was helpful to do this exercise so I was able to do more research on it. I think we are good now :) -
Tesh Burke 7/10/2023 7:57 AMIt surprises me how much plastic is around us every day and how hard it is to get things without any plastic, What I learned is to make sure to ask or do a little more investigating when purchasing something. It's a challenge :) -
REFLECTION QUESTIONKitchenUsing the links provided, investigate the bottling practices of water corporations. There have been many cases where the water rights of the local people have been violated or even completely disregarded when a corporation decides to bottle water from a particular water source. How can you advocate for those who have been harmed by this bottling process?
Tesh Burke 7/03/2023 3:28 AMGet involved it the cause by first understanding the issue. Then support the groups being impacted by the corporation. This may mean protesting, writing to their Congress representative or seeing if you can change the mind of those involved. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONKitchenHow can you be an advocate for using reusables instead of disposables for the rest of your community? Where are they currently dependent on disposable food packaging or eating utensils, and how can you convince them of the need for change?
Tesh Burke 7/03/2023 3:25 AMI think using my own reusables help other see it's possible. It also allows space to share how they can do it too. Allot of people want to do it but they think it to difficult so seeing and sharing is a good way to them stated.
