It's going ok, I wish to be more mindful of my plastic usage at all times but I need to work on it.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

What are the benefits of switching to bamboo toothbrushes? How would you implore others in your community to make this switch as well?

I have to yet get one for myself but I definitely see how beneficial it would be overall. I will update it after I get it.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Community
How does the act of picking up litter connect you more to your community?

It just is a good reminder to myself that I am part of the community and just like how I take care of my house and keep it clean, I have responsibility towards my community, overall a positive feeling.

Thats a great way to look at that - just like you take care of the house you live in, you should take care of the community you live in. Thanks for sharing!!!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Study
Were you surprised by what the different plastic identification numbers mean? How can this information help you become a better recycler?

Both the articles (different plastic identification numbers and 7 types of plastics) were very informative.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Bathroom
What is the benefit of using bar soaps or refilling your travel sized containers? Is this an action you think you will keep in your life?

    Sahar Azmat 7/07/2023 6:36 AM
Traveling with a bar soap is still a challenge for me but I have been using the same containers for travel for a few years now. It is beneficial to both the environment and my pocket.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Kitchen
Since the restrictions that COVID-19 has required of our society, trying to use your own cup might present new barriers, as well as new opportunities for creative problem solving. How were you able to achieve success on this action? How can you make it a long-term habit?

Try to wake up 10-15 minutes earlier than your normal time to make your tea at home and if not then go inside the store instead of the drive thru and hand them your reusable cup. It is not easy but not impossible either.

Used reusable cup for my morning tea today. Feels good to add something, even so small, towards a positive cause.
